In Hawaii, one of few locations having active volcano activities, we observed this amazing "birth" procedure of the land - not by dramatically eruption, but by smooth unending lava running flow from time to time. It's hard to imagine how solid rocks can be related to "liquid" in man's world, but nature obviously exhibits this in its mystical and magnificent power. Hiking on the lava land and/or inside the caldera was a fun experience with some wired illusion - You may think the surface of the rocks formed by lava is soft due to  its irregular fragmented round shape (not in a sharp solid way in our common sense), but actually it is extreme hard.
